365 days on The Great Loop

The red part is all we have left before we “cross our wake” where we started this adventure.

Sept 26 marked 365 days on The Great Loop and they have gone by in a bit of a blur. A lot of Loopers keep stats on all sorts of things. We are not ashamed to say that we do not track a lot. Looking back we should have tracked the number of museums, historical sites, National Parks, and breweries we have visited.

365 day total: **

Miles traveled: 7,228

US states visited: 17

Number of locks: 99

Countries visited outside of the US: 2 – Bahamas and Canada

Where we spent our nights:

     Marina: 45%

     Anchor: 36%

     Mooring ball: 10%

     Free dock/wall: 7%

Canada lock wall: 2% (not quite free because we paid for a parks permit)

Our next few weeks will have us closing in on Green Turtle Bay, Kentucky where we started our loop. At this location we will "cross our wake" and earn our gold Looper flag. This is good timing because our white Looper flag is looking quite tattered at the moment.

** Our records are pretty good but not perfect, so if something looks off it probably is. 🙂
